A well-designed laundry should be both highly functional and beautifully integrated into the home. For this project, the client wanted their laundry to flow effortlessly from the kitchen, carrying through the blue, white, and oak colour palette for a cohesive look. A common issue with laundries is clutter and lack of organisation, so we worked with our clients to understand exactly how they use their space and incorporated custom overhead cabinetry, a dedicated broom closet with a hidden charging station, and custom open hamper storage to simplify everyday routines. The royal blue patterned floor tile was carefully selected to complement the tones in the kitchen, creating a sophisticated yet practical foundation for the space. For ultimate convenience, the design includes Tasmania oak floating shelves to accommodate laundry essentials and, most importantly, a dedicated cat-friendly zone, complete with custom access for cat doors, making it a space that works for both the family and their furry companions. The inset ceramic sink paired with a pull-out gold mixer adds a refined touch, while the Edison Stone benchtop and splashback bring continuity to the home’s design and allow for and easy to clean work space.
